This month we’re celebrating all of those fun, sweet, odd and unexpected actual celebration days that are happening each day of the month in September (see the list below)! This Doodlewash challenge is once again open to anyone who wants to participate with watercolor painting and simply pencil or pen & ink sketches as well!* Yes, bring us your doodles, your wash, or a lovely combination of both. If you’re participating in the September Art Challenge use the hashtag #doodlewashSeptember2018 when you post on all your social networks, and if you also use lovely watercolor add the #WorldWatercolorGroup hashtag as well so we can find you and link to your lovely watercolors!
Join us all month long or simply jump in whenever you like!
*NOTE: World Watercolor Group on Facebook and the associated hashtag is still only for works that contain watercolor, of course, so be sure to join us here in Doodlewash Club to post your drawings! Simply log in to Doodlewash.com with your chosen social network to post. It’s free!
SEPTEMBER ART CHALLENGE – Days To Celebrate!
We’ve all seen posts for Ice Cream Day and other fun and often ridiculous celebratory days, but did you know that there are actually official and unofficial things like that happening every single day of the year? Yep! We humans love to celebrate things, so let’s spend the month of September doing just that by observing every little holiday that happens on a daily basis throughout the month. It’s time to get your imaginations working and come up with something fun and clever to observe each day. Doesn’t have to be literal, just let your thoughts wander and create anything that comes to mind!
30 Days To Paint And/Or Draw This Month
I’ve preselected days for all of us to celebrate together, and made the 23rd a day to invent your very own celebration day, but feel free to celebrate and sketch anything that inspires you all month long! (prompts are always meant to spark creativity and get you painting! Seriously… if you feel like creating something else one day, then please DO that! Always paint and draw whatever inspires you most!)
