Here’s another of those vegetables that I completely snubbed as a child… beets. I thought they tasted a bit like dirt and really didn’t enjoy them. Now, I rather enjoy them in all their earthy flavor. And being a huge fan of color, I also appreciate their glorious hue as well. A few sliced beets in a salad look rather gorgeous set against the green leaves. And I’m happy to report they now taste good as well! All that said, I still have them rather rarely and they somehow fail to make it to my top ten list of requested vegetables.
For daily Doodlewash readers, today’s post is going to be rather short, if not abrupt. There’s been a death in the family, and so we’re currently on a flight back to Paris. I’m not sure if I’ll be able to post on my normal daily schedule, so if you don’t see my post, rest assured I will return soon. I’ll still be painting daily… it’s the best way I know to find peace. I’ll still be posting when I can, but might be slow to respond to comments. Much love to you all!Recommended1 recommendationPublished in
