Written by Tried another little doodlewash of Amboise, France since I’m sort of missing the place. Still trying to keep things light and not overwork the scene too much. In doing so, I’m getting happier with the results!
The royal Château at Amboise was where Francis I was raised and during the first few years of his reign it reached the pinnacle of its glory. And, of course, we can’t forget its most famous guest, Leonardo da Vinci, who lived and worked in the nearby Clos Lucé. It’s a magical place that I highly recommend visiting.
I like that very much. I like the notion of not “overworking” it. I overwork too many of my dumb sketches.
Your dumb sketches are awesome! Love them…but yeah…not overworking is gonna be a long lesson for me I think!

Yes both my great grandma and grandma were from France. But it was a long time ago and my family moved out to different places around the world)…:)
