There were several requests for a dragon, but I decided to doodlewash another popular request instead, a dinosaur. I’m sure if you put wings on this T-Rex he’d look very much like a dragon, but I didn’t have time to give him wings so he stayed a dinosaur. I decided to make him rather colorful as I was getting a few too many brownish things in the first few letters and I wanted to play with more colors.
Tyrannosaurus Rex means “tyrant lizard king” as this guy was one of the largest land carnivores of all time. During his heyday he and others like him lived primarily in what is now western North America. Recently, scientists have speculated that the tyrannosaurus might have had some feathers on its body. But I didn’t know where to place them so I left this one bald. Though the majority of dinosaurs suffered mass extinction, there are still “modern dinosaurs” in the form of birds. Luckily, these dinosaurs among us have shrunk to a much less terrifying size.
When the original Jurassic Park movie burst onto the screen, we got to see what it would be like to visit a park full of dinosaurs. Which was super cool! At first anyway, then everyone gets attacked and we realize that the whole thing is really just a super dumb idea. But apparently not dumb enough to try again several years later in the form of Jurassic World. But the movies were still pretty fun to watch. Hope everyone is having a wonderful weekend! Next up is E, so if you have an idea, please shout it out in the comments!

How ’bout an emu.
Thanks Diane!! That’s awesome!! Love them! 😃
I love Rex!!! One of my faves! Love seeing the bright colors. How about Egyptian Sphinx or an emerald electric eel? Maybe an eclectic easel?
Thanks Jodi!! ❤️😃Hehe… those are fun… I’m loving these… I’m thinking I could do a month of fun alliterations. I love these!
love the dinosaur vivid green and his sharp sharp teeth! wonderful mini narrative on the T rex Charlie 🙂 and, I can envision him with broad wings and shooting scarlet flames of fire!
Thanks so much Debi! 💕😃 Glad you liked him!! And that would be soooo cool!! I wish I had more time to make him do that! Hehe
you’re welcome! don’t mind me Charlie! that was just my wild, imagination running rampant ….again. I agree, there’s not enough time to do it all. Or do ‘enough’ for that matter. lol
A dashing dinosaur, Charlie! 😃👍🎨 A wonderfully colorful doodlewash! 🌟🎨💕 Jodi had some fin ideas! I will add an elephant, Eskimo or an elk. 😜
Fun not fin….
Thanks Jill!!💕😃 I love those…elephants are my favorite but since I sketched one already I figured I should try to spread my wings a bit! Hehe
Great work, Eagle
Thanks so much!! 👍🏻😃
Very cool
Thanks! Glad you liked this! 😃
Fabulous! It looks fierce unlike the other Rex you did not too long ago.. 😊 I love that green, by the way. And the shading is just awesome!! I would love an elephant for E!!
Wow! Love the bright green and all the great detail, Charlie! Yay for color during February! Hmm. I’m thinking eagle eye, emerald, eclectic, electric, I keep
coming back to eyes which I’m sure is no surprise to you!
Thanks Laura!! ❤️😃I had to add some color!! Hehe…I was missing my bright paints. 😊hehe… Yeah…I’m also a fan of eyes, so I picked something where the eyes are center stage. 😉👍🏻
Awesome!!
Awesome T-Rex! <3 Of course, scientists are now finding out that he's not really as kingly as once thought. They now think he's a scavenger who can only top out at 5 MPH, which means an average fit human being can outrun him. Still, those these and claws are kinda scary! 😉
Thanks Teresa!! ❤️😃 Glad ya liked my Dino!!
It’s Rex’s rather more intimidating friend! That’s an absolutely stunning dinosaur doodlewash, Charlie… I let out a gasp of awe when I saw it. I think you need to find a way to do more dinosaurs in the future!
E is for Easter egg. Evergreen. Eclairs. Empire State Building. Earth.
Thanks Jacob!! I really enjoyed doing this one, but had to add more color than usual because I was getting tired of brownish things. Hehe 😊 Eclairs…every time someone mentions food I can’t seem to think of anything else. Lol But I’ve yet to include any in this set. I’m sort of into animals lately. We’ll see if it keeps up.
Looks great in green. 😊
Thanks Teri!! I’m glad…there was no way I was doing a brown thing again! Lol
‘Roar’……or does he ‘tweet’?? That is the question, he would look small up against the titanosaurus. Now ‘E’ is for expensive elegant enormous enriched emerald earrings. Great dino choice, I am pretty fond of these giants living on the uk Jurassic coast, I have hoards of fossilised sharks teeth, it makes for an exciting dog walk, I always set a target not to leave until I find at least five. Although my fav is the megladon tooth, bought from a show ( we didn’t have them swimming our shores- at least there is no fossil evidence found to date).
Thanks Rebecca!! 💕😃Wow!! That’s so cool that you collect fossils! What an awesome collection to have. And a megladon tooth as well? I’m jealous! Too cool!
Some people think it’s weird, but I am proud of my tooth….wish I could say I found it myself 😜
Some people just aren’t curious enough! 😉 I think it’s awesome!
Totally agree….. I once went looking for mammoth teeth on the Isle of Wight, had to give up after being chased by swans, they were blocking the path, which was the only way down to the area. Sadly never been back….scared for life!! Lol
I was hoping for a TRex. This guy really pops! 💕☕️ how about and Emu or Egret for “e”. Have a beautiful Sunday Charlie.
Yay!! Thanks Sharon!! 💕😃 hope you’re having a wonderful Sunday as well! And I’m going to take you up on one of your suggestions. 😉👍🏻
Oh, thank you!
What a handsome and vibrant dinosaur! Great doodlewash Charlie!
Thanks Cathe!! 💕😃 I thought he’d benefit from a hit of green! Hehe
Definitely close enough to a dragon! (K)
Hehe! Yay!! Thanks Kerfe! 😃
