Another study from my book. Still using the old Reeves colors for this one and decided to go with water only and no ink. Not the most interesting subject, but reminds me of summers on my grandparents’ farm.

This weekend I’m determined to break out the new paints and tackle the sketches I prepared – all the while hoping I don’t completely screw them up. But worrying less and less about that as I’m just loving the journey! If you haven’t tried watercolor sketching, you really should consider it.

  1. Since today’s 3/22/19, entry was about your old written journal you found, I thought it would be fun to look through your previous digital journal entries. I’ve enjoyed strolling, or in this case scrolling down memory lane. I admire your daily practice, and I’m getting closer to being more diligent. Thank you for sharing this journey with us Charlie.

    1. Aww thanks, Laura! 😃💕Welcome to the archives! Hope you enjoy them. It’s been so much fun to collect these each and every day. So, yay to a daily practice. I totally recommend it… and I hope along the way I keep improving a little each time as well! 😉

  2. You’re a wonderful artist! You are also a wonderful host. You spot light other artists and have built a warm, wonderful community. Thank you for that.

    1. Aww thanks so much, Laura! 😃💕 That makes me so happy to hear you say. My goal from the start was to create just such a feeling and community. I never wanted this site to be all about me… that would be such a bore! hehe It’s way more fun to come together as a community!
