The problem with old watercolor paint tubes is that they can get dry. It’s difficult to get the cap off. For me, warming up the cap helps. I just put the tube in a warm glass of water and turn it upside down. Using glycerin or honey to coat the cap is another option. These substances aid in the softening of the paint.
