If you get a friends request, you need to go to your personal page. Click on Friends, and then Requests. You’ll be shown the names of those who have made requests, and you can click on Accept. If you are getting notifications through your email, you can click on the link and it will take you right to page where you can accept. After you click on Accept, go to the News Feed (go to Community at the top of the page, hit the drop down arrow and choose News Feed) and you’ll see a notice saying that you and the other person are now friends.
