  • sorry I have been away for quite a while in spite of the pandemic and lockdown, I don’t know where the time has gone.    I was looking for some Amaryllis bulbs just after Christmas  at the garden centre, I was lucky to find a few of the last they had.   he said now you must get them growing asap.    and I replied oh no I have to draw them first, he laughingly said  so you are a botanical artist and I replied yes.  I didn’t think he believed me so I sent him a photo  of an Amaryllis  that I had painted and he replied would I like to put some in the coffee shop for sale,   to say I was shellshocked  is not quite enough comment.   so I have been so busy getting together and rehashing some that needs a lot of TLC,   on Monday we went and hung twenty three of my botanical paintings. I must admit it gave me quite a tingle.  just hope that some customers like them.    well one can always live in a dream world can’t we. see you all soon with some more work.   stay safe         I have placed a photo I took of the hangings in the gallery
