Grid Tools & other free online tools

    A free online tool that I often use is Art Tutor’s Grid Tool.  You can upload your reference photo, rotate it, crop it,  adjust the brightness, contrast, and saturation, and last, but not least, apply a grid to it.  You can apply grids of different sizes and line colors.

    I thought it might be nice to have a topic where people can post links to similar tools that they’ve found online.

    I came across this article on warm vs cool colors. There’s a download based on Golden’s line of acrylics rating all the colors and I would imagine that watercolors have much the same rating.  A good way to check out a color you might be thinking of buying or are wondering what colors might be good to mix.
