Yes, the count is currently visible when you view the art in the gallery pop-up. Previously, it showed members who liked it in the main News Feed, but that plugin that provided those features was causing some issues. I’m going to be testing a new update of the plugin to see if “hopefully” I can get that feature to come back. 😉
AnonymousJune 25, 2018 at 8:05 amOK. Thanks for that. I click on it to indicate support for people’s efforts, and just wondered.
Yep, it still shows up as support, but I liked the other way better as it showed up in the News Feed. I’ll probably test turning that on again this week and see if it works this time. But if it disappears again, it will mean that it didn’t. 😉
Ok, I brought back full likes, likes available on comments as well, and the Wall feature! Fingers crossed it’s working as planned this time. 😉 I love this feature, so I hope the developers got all the kinks worked out!
I love this feature too! Hoping that the site can handle it now!
AnonymousJune 26, 2018 at 6:16 amOoops, have I spoken too soon? Just had a couple of ghost notifications. One I deleted, the other is still there, and it arrived the same time as a like from Sharon Nolfi. Could be coincidence?
Yeah, I’ve seen those appear before, but not lately. Are you able to clear out all notifications and mark as read? Or does a ghost still stay?
I agree! The Wall and showing who liked a post is pretty cool, but yeah it does take a lot of server strength to make it happen. I’ll keep monitoring it and hopefully it will be able to stay this time! 😉 One thing I noticed is that if you have a lot of notifications, it can cause pages to load more slowly, so just clear them out if that happens.
Good! But the Wall feature, and display and notify comments piece is awesome… it just slows everything down. So I’ve turned it back off for now. I’ll try to contact the developer to see if can get any tips on how to make it run better, but will most likely wait until after World Watercolor Month. Can’t have a slow site then! 😉
