I haven’t had the time to try out the techniques in this tutorial by Ian Pethers yet, but I’m intrigued.  I find splattering a bit difficult, so this would be a good exercise.

I thought the artist had a unique style.  Unfortunately, I couldn’t find any other tutorials that he’s done.

I’ve used masking to create flowers before.  It’s a great way to save your lights and create flowers.

I’ve used masking before, but not by splattering it this way.  I’m sparing with using it because of the hard edges, but this technique looks promising.

I haven’t had the chance to try it yet.  That’s my problem-too many projects going at any one time, lol.  I’m looking forward to seeing yours.

I like the technique, and will use it again. I think I needed a larger splatter size, but it was a fun learning experience.

Getting splatter in the size, pattern and direction you want is definitely a technique with a long learning curve.  I don’t practice it enough, and that’s a shame.  You can do so much with it.

I need to get busy and try it out myself, lol! A few other people at Doodlewash have done it and what they did was awesome!
