Using masking tape to secure your painting may be routine for a lot of people. We all know that different colours when placed beside each other can drastically change their effect. Just a reminder to NOT use that green or blue tape. The light beige tape is more neutral and will make it easier to get the colours you are striving for.
A good reminder, Lin. A lot of people aren’t aware that adding colored tape can affect the way they paint. I must add that the same holds true for masking fluid. I do use the Molotow pen because it is so convenient, but the dark blue color, especially in areas where it should be white, causes problems. I only use it in the first steps when I’m doing large washes and then remove it.
Oh dear, and hubby just bought me a huge roll of blue.🤔
