Hello there! I would like to share with you my first painting tutorial on portraits in watercolour on Khadi 640 gsm paper. I tried to capture the most important phases and details in one 3+ minutes video tutorial, but some elements are definitely not included. So, I will do my best to better address other phases in my process in coming videos, which will always feature the same topic but painting on different brand paper, i.e. Khadi 640gsm, Fabriano, Arches, and Hahnemühle.
Fantastic video, Violeta! Hmmmm. I have some Chinese watercolor brushes that I was going to trade off, because I seldom use them, but after seeing this I think maybe I’ll just try using them more often.
@sandra-strait I’m very pleased to hear that you enjoyed the video, Sandra. I wouldn’t recommend trading off Chinese (and Japanese) watercolour brushes, which are really powerful. I use them a lot in my process, especially when painting large 🙂
