Hi everyone
this a a great forum and I was wondering if someone can help me, I am eager to try urban sketching bu I am having trouble with drawing brickwork and tiled roofs on my house, should I try and draw all the brickwork and tiles, when I have tried the drawing looks messy, I have attached a picture for my house and hopefully I can get some ideas

<li style=”text-align: left;”>Hi Steve, I do some urban sketching & love it. Not a pro but I suggest that you just do an abstract representation of the bricks & rules. Rough sketch in a few & let them fade out. The viewers eye will fill them in.
Put in your color backgrounds, then do your rough sketches over them.
