Daniel Smith’s website has a plethora of videos about their watercolours.  Check them out when you’ve a moment.

Toeh Yi Chi illustrates the differences in inks that we may be using in our artwork with watercolour.  Great tips in this!

Thanks for this @von I am still trying to see what watercolor paper I like best or if I will stay with different things for different purposes lol.

@springscreation You’re welcome Lisa.  I think we all do that.

I use 4 different types really:  Arches for my fine art; Winsor & Newton’s or Strathmore’s for my journals; and Strathmore’s 200 Series for swatching and cardmaking.  I have an assortment of others that I’ve tested, but these are my go-to’s.

It takes time to find what you need for your style of painting.  Enjoy the discovery!

This an excellent, interesting and in-depth review by our Sandra Strait, that I want to be sure it’s not missed now, as well as preserve it for easy access by future beginners.

    Thank you Sandra! @sandra-strait

You’re welcome Sandra!  I have to confess, I did a 🤦🏼‍♀️ when this popped up.  WHY have I never thought of the painting knives?  I use them constantly with the oils but never expanded the brain.bat beyond it. 🤣  DUH on me!  😂😂😂
