    @sandra-strait  Yes, I agree!  It can be such a tricky colour scheme.  At least understanding which pigments are part of each tetrad is helpful for a beginner. I still struggle trying to figure out whether some pigments are warm or cool.  lol

    Warm and cool is hardest of all.  While it’s fairly easy to group by family – yellows & reds warm, blues & greens cool – once you start gettting into brights, earths, masters, high-key, low-key … all the many properties, then warm and cool get fuzzy and you have to start comparing based on what you’re using at the moment.

    Yes, so true!!  Yet, knowing which is warm or cool and subsequently mixing them, either creates a gorgeous pigment or mud.

    Colour theory is vital to every medium, irrelevant of wet or dry application.
