The Witty Gritty Paper Co. has a nice series for Beginners!  Enjoy! 🙂

    Part 1 – Transparency

(Heads up – on that dark to lightest process, it’s the ratio of water to paint that allows for the value changes.)

    Part 2 – Mark Making

    Part 3 – Wash Techniques

Amazing techniques! Similar to some we’ve learned, but different.

I think my problem comes from switching papers and paints so often. I’m always relearning to fit what I’m using.  That and I’m just too impatient, lol.

Isn’t that along the lines of what one of our recent Doodlewash Guest Bloggers said?  Something like “to develop our skills we must learn and unlearn”.

That “learn and unlearn” bit really impressed on my mind and comes to the fore when I watch videos to share here.  Every artist I watch has their own style of process techniques, preferred papers, preferred paints, preferred brushes, etc.  We could spend a lifetime of time and financing to learn “that” from each.  LOL
