Buildings are not hard if you use a wide, flat brush and don\'t try to get too precise. A view of them from a paint-out on the opposite shore. bufwaterfront

Lily using contact paper and plastic sandwich wrap. Have you people tried this? It is fun. Cut the lily flower shape out of contact paper, stick on your piece of #140 cold press paper. Mix a sloshy wash of whatever colors you like for the background. Apply it generously all over, including over the masked lily flowers. Have plastic wrap piece, bigger than the paper to allow for wrinkling, at the ready and put it on the wash. Crinkle, twist plastic liberally. Allow it to dry for at least 20 minutes to give the paint a chance to cling to it and set a little before lifting it off. Remove plastic, throw away. Lift off the contact paper masking pieces on the lily heads. Paint stems, leaves. When dry enough not to smear with your arm as you work, finesse the flowers. Grayish shadows and details. Use your scrubby brush to soften a few of the hard edges of the blossoms. Hang and enjoy it.hangandenjoy

Fresh flowers in a glass jar or vase is a summertime staple. It brings nature\'s beauty as close as a windowsill. balljar
