Here’s the second lovely doodlewash in gouache from Sandrine, our friend in Paris, France. It’s been a little while since Sandrine has sent us a something, but this was worth the wait! This was a study that she completed while watching a video tutorial (which I highly recommend doing as it’s a great way to learn various techniques!). You can see her first doodlewash by clicking here.
It seems fitting to have posted three native Parisians in a row as I’m wrapping up my virtual tour of France today and tomorrow. It’s also been so wonderful to feature guest doodlewashers from all over the world! More to come this week, so stay tuned!
If I haven’t already reached out to you to be a Guest Doodlewash post, then please reach out to me instead! The answer is always yes, as I’d love to feature you and your unique style here on doodlewash.com. We would all love to be inspired by how you see your world, whatever part of the world you may live in. Just click the Let’s Connect link (or click right here) and send me a note! Can’t wait to hear from you!

Beautiful portrait by Sandrine. I’ve enjoyed your tour of France. Where you are doodle wash traveling next? 😎
Sandrine is great isn’t she?! Thanks for commenting Sharon! Next I’m going to be exploring The Paris of the Plains! Hehe… my hometown of Kansas City, MO. Might try a bit more plein air sketching and drawings of people. Though I think I may prefer animals over people. Hehe
Great colors on a terrific portrait! Hope some of our mutual blogging friends will be inspired by this to make something interesting for the Sept. 25th self-portrait challenge! 🙂
Thanks for commenting Teresa! Sandrine does beautiful work! Oh…did you say challenge?! You know that always encourages me! Guess I’ll have to get good at drawing people quick! Lol Of course I won’t care as much if I make myself look like a frog. 😉
LOL! You could totally draw an animal and claim it’s you! 🙂
That’s awesome!! Do it! Pick a good animal though… something cute like a puppy… or a narwhal! 😉
Narwhal! They are the most fascinating beasts…almost mythical! 😀
I know…that’s why you should paint me as one. Lol
Hah! No, you’re supposed to paint yourself! 😀
Ugh…that’s not as much fun! Lol
Not everything in life is fun! 😉
Wow, this is beautiful!!! Love the colors! Wonderful inspiration!!!
Yay! Glad you like it Ann! Sandrine just started with watercolors (gouache) and is already rocking it!! 😃
Stunning and beautiful!
Very mysterious. Looks like she has some secrets. (K.)
It does Kerfe…some sort of story there for sure 😉
Ah, so lovely, she looks like a greek goddess. Sandrine is extremely talented! I will miss Paris through your eyes Charlie, but I look forward to your next adventure!
