Written by It’s another Sunday with Philippe and a lovely doodlewash of a mixed bit of fruit. He painted this one soon after the last one he created, but I waited to post it to mix things up a bit. For this one, he used Cobalt Teal in the shadows to add more dimension and luminosity. Of the two, he preferred this result.
Things have been pretty busy around here, so I’ll keep this post really short, but we hope everyone is enjoying a wonderful weekend. We’re off tomorrow, so we’re enjoying a much needed three day weekend. And for anyone following along… we finally took down Christmas. It was incredibly sad to see it go. Also, it’s insanely cold here today so we’re going to be indoors a lot which hopefully means a little extra time to doodlewash!
Delish! I especially enjoy the sweeping line of the left hand side of the pear, and the beautiful shadow.

Beautiful doodlewash, Philippe! Love the backlit. We still have our tree up, and frankly, I’m enjoying it and no one is complaining, so it’s staying up for awhile more. My younger daughter wants it up for her birthday in the summer….but THAT won’t happen!
