This was the doodlewash Philippe made on Christmas, trying out the new Escoda Versatil brushes he got from Santa (on his new block of 9×12 of Fluid 100 Cold Pressed 100% cotton paper… which he says he really liked… very easy to lift color)! There’s a touch of a new color that came inside one of my gifts as well. It’s Rose Opéra which is in the L’Aquarelle line of watercolors by Sennelier. Very nice paint and another honey-based watercolor like the M. Graham I primarily use.
It’s been an amazing Christmas and even better, we’re off all this week so we’re free to draw, paint, and play with the many Lego sets we have waiting for us. Phineas has been wearing his lovely green Christmas sweater and enjoyed receiving his gift, Duckie #12, which he cuddled up next to each night. This is always how it starts, but we fully anticipate things will shift in their relationship and Duckie #12 will be gutted and back in hospital before the New Year. It’s just how they communicate apparently.
We hope all of you are enjoying the weekend, and that our fellow doodlewashers also received wonderful art supplies from Santa! It’s pretty impressive how the Big Guy seems to know exactly what to get to make artists everywhere happy. He should really consider coming more often as many of these supplies will be used up before his return. Fingers crossed, though, that some will survive until the Easter Bunny comes to make things right again.

Lovely fruits! ah ah ah….love the present planning for the next year 🙂 Well, lots of fun during the long week off to come and enjoy your brand new tools!
Thanks so much!! And yes…this week is going to be super fun!!! 😊😃
oops…meant to say …have lots of fun 🙂
Hehe…I edited it in my head. Works either way…fun to you too! 😉👍🏻
Philippe did a fantastic job with that watercolour, Charlie. It’s good enough to eat. xo
Thanks! Isn’t it lovely?! I wasn’t sure if he was pleased with it or not, but posted it anyway because I loved it! 😉
You two are too adorable. xo
Awww thanks!! 😊😊hehe!
Wonderful colours in this picture, they seem so smooth somehow… Please make a doodlewash of Phineas in his green Christmas sweater, I´d love to see that (or a photo)!!! Although he seems to be quite violent in his relationships… 😉 My dog Lotte hates all kind of clothes, she immediately starts to hide when I just come near her pajamas… She´s rather “naked”. 😉
Lol…Phineas prefers nudity as well, but the sweater calms him so much it’s like having a new dog when we’re busy with other things. 😊 He is also notoriously camera shy, so it’s nearly impossible to get a decent picture much less sketch him! Lol
Oh, what an excuse! 😉
Lovely doodlewash by Philippe! 😄 Sounds like you will have a relaxing week, Charlie! Cheers to you and Philippe! 🎉🎄🍾
Thanks so much Jill!! 💕😃 Hope your week is fabulous as well!!
