Hello, my name is One Faristiwa. I live in Tangerang, a small industrial town in Indonesia. Now, I’m working as a paint aerosol formulator. When I started, I worked as a color matcher in the same factory. Maybe that’s why from this job, I started to like colors then fell in love with drawing. I started drawing approximately 3 months ago. Drawing and sketching has become my hobby now.
For now, I don’t have too many sketches that I’ve sketched, but I will further deepen my own technique and skills in drawing and sketching. I like to draw all the things that I feel it’s good to draw. I usually draw some things around us, like bowls, flowers, fruits, shoes, trees, pencil cases and so on.
Honestly, I prefer to sketch in architecture design, and I am still learning that. Next, I am eager to draw by live sketching with another sketcher friend in my town. Therefore I started to sketch the things, landscapes or buildings, such as I my sketch of this small shop shown above.
As a beginner, I still use simple tools to sketch. Right now I use a Concord 220gsm paper and Faber-Castell for watercolor paint. But next, I must try to use a better paper, like Canson or maybe Moleskine, I hope.
Last, but not least, enjoy drawing everyone. Keep on sketching and drawing, and sharing something new for everybody. I hope that sketching is not just a hobby but also producing something that can make people happy with our sketches or paintings. Keep drawing everyone, and God bless you all!
