Did a small little doodlewash of a little house in a nearby neighborhood. Started with a light pencil sketch and realized something sort of cool happened. I didn’t use my kneaded eraser. Not once! Why is this cool? Because I’m working toward my goal of just grabbing my fountain pen and going for it with ink!
I like the result. Once I went back with pen, I just followed my lines and made a few new ones. Feels like there’s more life in the sketch and I’m starting to become less timid with my approach. Next sketch will be straight to pen! No pencils or erasers. Just curious to see what happens next!

…you have very good sense of line and perspective with architectural pieces, and that is an innate gift not many have
Thanks Lance! I was always horrible with a ruler and technical perspective in art school, so your comment makes me very very happy! 🙂
