Written by Trying to study more and have been watching YouTube videos. Many of them actually about watercolor. I like watching artists paint and see the various techniques they use. I tried to do this one after watching a video from Jyotsna Prakashan. His is much better, I need to work on my brush work, but it was fun to try.
Back in art school we used to have to copy pieces from the masters. I think you can learn a lot about technique this way. And weirdly, I think it can also help you discover your personal style along the way. But as stated in the Doodlewash Manifesto we should simply laugh when our work doesn’t quite look like theirs.
When we make something – whatever that something turns out to be – we are all artists.
So true: “…we are all artists”. Thank you Charlie for providing the venue for pursuing this adventure we call watercolor.
