For the month of May, we’re going to have some fun with words that have multiple meanings! (see prompts below) This Doodlewash art challenge is open to anyone who wants to participate with just watercolor painting, just drawing (ink, colored pencils, crayons, etc.!), or a lovely mix of both!* Simply add the hashtag #doodlewashMay2022 when you post on all of your social networks, and if you also use lovely watercolor add the #WorldWatercolorGroup hashtag as well so we can find you and link to your lovely watercolors!

Want to play along? We have a list of prompts for this month that seem, on the surface, like the usual list of things to draw and/or paint. (prompts supplied by Doodlewash Community member Mary Roff). Each word on this list is actually a homonym, which means there’s more than one definition of the word that you can choose! You can go with your first instinct, or think about the word’s other meanings and come up with something to illustrate one of those. It’s all up to you! And it’s going to be super fun!
