Opening a new box of crayons at Christmas was like entering a world of different possibilities. I never listened to the people who said that you never do this or that when painting. How else do we learn? Where would we be if the Old Masters didn’t try new techniques?
I look forward to your daily “doodlewash.” Keep them coming Charlie!
My problem with watercolor is waiting for things to dry, but using my hair dryer speeds that problem but only when I remember to use it. LOL! As a child, I loved my marbles and playing marbles with others. Isn’t it great when we remember our youth with fondness. Live your marbles by the way.
I love your sketch, Charlie. It reminds me of my youth and the fireplace we had at camp and my home growing up. The cozy feeling you depict is perfect. I always liked getting up early to see the tree lit and the surprise of the gifts under the tree. You have brought back some of the magic of the season to us all.
