I must have read Alice in Wonderland, with the original Tenniel drawings, at least 50 times throughout my childhood, so the Cheshire Cat is part of my personal gestalt. Being what he is – he’s going to make himself known on occasion!
Thank you! Part of it’s from doing Zentangle-type art for many years, and partly because I shade using pen hatching rather than pencil. It gives the impression of a lot more detail than there really is.
A beautiful painting of a really lovely flower. the colours are really vibrant and unique. I was very interested to read about the paints. it must have been great fun experimenting with brand new style of paints.
