First of a series of safari animals that I\'ve been tasked to do. It was a challenge for me because I\'ve never done a project like this before. Wish me luck! This is baby Ellie by the way. 🙂 Elephant

Someone loved my other butterfly painting so much that she wanted to buy it but also requested a caterpillar to go along with it. So off I painted one but my first attempt wasn\'t so successful so I made another one. I\'ve just posted this on my Instagram account and now I\'m satisfied that this one looked like a caterpillar more instead of like a fat green worm. Hahaha. IG caterpillar

It\'s been a while since I last uploaded here. We\'ve been braving the monsoon season here for almost two weeks now. Yesterday, I got to paint and for a whole afternoon, the sun came out. So I thought it was appropriate to paint something quite cheery. CCI18062018_00000 original editCCI18062018_00001

This is a very simple piece. I was practicing my wash color combinations plus I\'m going on an out of the country trip and I\'ve been looking at travel guides and whatnots. Got inspired to do a city silhouette. 🙂 cher-watercolor-001

I am a dog person. Before getting married, I used to live with 13 dogs at home but now, my husband is somewhat allergic to them. I only see my dogs now during the weekends when I visit my mom. I\'ve been missing them a lot. I painted one of them, this is Toblerone. 🙂 cher-cabula-watercolor-002

This was my first attempt to do some watercolor painting again after being on hiatus for more than 3 months. I was a little rusty I admit but I couldn\'t explain the joy that I felt knowing that I was doing one of the things I loved again. Such an exhilarating feeling. cher-cabula-watercolor-001

I was at the beach two weeks ago for family vacation. I took advantage of the down time to paint. I had this monochromatic painting project going on my Instagram. I\'m really pleased with this one. Painting in monochrome made me pay attention to the shadows and highlighted parts of my subject. cher-cabula-painting-001

Aside from flowers...doughnuts can also cheer me up. 2016-05-29 13.19.11 1260632705969877670_31416211

Flowers can immediately light up a dull room. Amazing. 2016-08-26 00.36.18 1324753778175423402_31416211

I love painting desserts and this one is my favorite. If I had a choice, I would eat a good serving of blueberry cheesecake all the time. If only there weren\'t any consequence in health and weight gain. If only! 1159159862665605393_31416211

There was a time when I participated in a remote version of Ladies Drawing Night. It involved a lot of us local artists communicating over viber what theme and how long we were to do an art piece. This was one was my favorite. It was painted on the back side of an Arches watercolor paper and Mijello Watercolor paints. I love painting in the loose style. It\'s fun, quick and surprisingly liberating. 1362396457272955897_31416211

I\'ve always had problems with white flowers but I tried my best with this one. I painted this for my mom because she loves flowers. I used Sennelier watercolors and St. Cuthbert\'s Mill Saunders Waterford Paper. 2017-03-05 07.40.04 1463399235020946100_31416211

This was one quick sketch that I did one lazy afternoon. The notebook I used was not really a watercolor sketchbook but the paper was thick enough to hold light washes. 2017-04-16 17.39.57 1494141740817551539_31416211
