Ahhh….the Christmas list and the descent into shopping. For our part we just bought a LeCrueset casserole (something for the kitchen 😉) and we said it was for Christmas. However, I’m also hoping for something extra whimsical for Christmas. A new telescope is on my list. Just putting it out there! Love the lemons!
I had to smile Helen when I saw your pen and ink from Venice. This is something that I purchased there myself…although I haven’t used used it yet! 😊Thank you for your slice of Venice and your inspiration words. Beautiful!
Sandra, thank you so much for your detailed response. I will try to do this. Right now I find that I’m switching up colours all the time. I might try to work with one palette for a while and do the value charts for it. I tend to work in a more instinctive way by slapping colour on the paper. Perhaps a little planning might help. 😄
I’m the same way. I like trying different colors, and I tend to just jump in. I have to rein myself in every once in a while, when I’m frustrated and make myself do charts so that I start remembering what I already know, lol.
Thanks Sharon! I’m really terrible at remembering what I did to get what I got! I do a lot of mucking around and then think, hmm… how did I get here? I believe I first used wc as a base and then added the coloured pencil. However, If I remember correctly, I think I added more wc on top of that in some areas. A bit mixed-media! 😉
