My interest in art began at an early age. My father was an amateur photographer and my mother painted with oils. While I wanted to explore both mediums, I found myself to be quite impatient. For some reason I thought that if I had talent, anything I did would be golden! Funny how several decades of living helped me realize that talent is raw until developed. I'm not certain I have any real talent, I just know now that if I want to paint, I'll need to practice, get feedback, and explore. Hopefully, if I'm consistent, I'll develop into an artist I can appreciate! That may sound egotistical. I don't really mean it that way. I have been encouraged by all of the lovely comments my work has received on Instagram, and I'm so grateful for even one or two comments. But for me, I still haven't found my own painter's voice. With practice and a little bit of luck, I hope to do that sooner than later!
