It sure is! I find my creativity flows better if I have everything within easy reach and don’t have to stop whatever I’m doing to go hunting for something I need to use. Although I know my son would call my studio “organised chaos” rather than just “organised” lol! He has a point, sometimes it looks messy but I always know exactly where everything…[Read more]

Interesting discussion! I absolutely ADORE my Sennelier pans, they are transparent and luminous and just perfect for the layering I like to do. I also have some DS tubes which I love for different reasons – the granulation being a big one; and some W&N Cotman tubes that were one of the paints I started with (like Elizabeth, the first set of paints…[Read more]

Beautiful, I love this! I disagree that you are “not a portrait painter” hehe 🙂 You have really managed to capture his expression perfectly!

Thank you, I really enjoy having a studio all to myself (well, except for the cat lol, he even sits there while I’m painting) 😀 It’s nice to have everything in easy reach and everything has a place, too.

I love Bob Ross 🙂 I could watch him paint for hours lol – watching his shows was what actually made me feel for the first time ever like I might actually be able to paint (after a lifetime of being told and believing otherwise). I loved them so much even though I don’t use oils, that I bought the DVDs 🙂
