#5 Seashells, 01.05.2020 This was a fun prompt! (Not that they all aren\'t fun.) I would have added on but I didn\'t have a lot of time to work on this until later in the day. Cheers to another week! #05__Seashells_01052020

#Grapefruit I love grapefruit! It’s my favorite fruit but my stomach doesn’t handle citrus very well. Of course, now I want one and would eat one if I had it. 😂😜 A26D2A39-2B16-449C-8DCE-A7068B4ED5EA

#Flowers One of our close friends came over for dinner Thursday night. She brought two hibiscus flowers for our iguana, Ghetti, as a special treat! 9F052DE6-5252-47C2-B7A9-C106CBDC9B42

#Macarons I saw these in a recipe on Pinterest so did a quick sketch. I’m not experienced with backgrounds, especially with watercolors. To speed up posting, this is a cell phone photo. 51B8D052-2F2C-48B3-8FDE-89C9DEC50688

Charlie, we\'re on the same wavelength! I drew this while at work, eating lunch, earlier today. I painted it tonight. I have no idea why there\'s a giraffe in my prompt today. This is not what I had planned on drawing but I stumbled upon a giraffe with a Santa hat on Pinterest while I was looking for something else and he jumped out of the computer into my sketchbook. #01_Balloons_01.01

Happy 2020 Everyone! We watched the Alamo Bowl game last night and in all of the excitement over the win, I forgot to post my drawing. I\'m not sure why I chose eggnog as the drinks of choice for my drawing. It\'s definitely not a tradition for me and I only remember having eggnog once in my life. That one time was on New Year\'s Eve so I guess that\'s reason enough to have eggnog as my NYE subject. Here\'s to the year 2020 being the best one yet for all of us! 31__Drinks_12.31.19

#30 - Scarf Happy Monday, everyone! I calibrated my scanner. Yay! I noticed after I opened the image that I cut one of the boots off at the bottom. I\'ll try to do a better job next time. My subject looks under-impressed with the cold weather. Maybe I should have given her more layers or a nice, cozy fire. 30__Scarf_12.30.2019

#29 Skates and #28 Icicles My icicles look more like snow-cicles! I hope that you’re all doing great and that every one had happy holidays! I’m so far behind with my posts but I’ve been creating everyday except the 26th. I did that prompt on the 27th. My mother, brother and his wife were in town so we were spending time with them. I tried to calibrate my scanner and it now scans everything really bright and washed out. I haven’t had time figure out how to reset it yet so these images were taken with my cell phone. 4D22E56E-D827-4C4E-82EE-C780BF5E6F75F2D83933-9E56-4403-9540-1EFFC1693977

#Toys In reality, we didn\'t have fancy stick horses though I think one of the younger kids eventually did. By we, I mean my brother and I and my cousins. We were always together, almost like one household but not. lol So. Our stick horses were sticks with rope or leather strips for bridles. We didn\'t care. We got the same mileage out of those sticks whether they had heads or not. 😉 One of the toys I enjoyed most was the Magic Etch A Sketch! There were many hours of frustration, too. Sometimes you need to break the line or be able to draw round edges. I don\'t think I ever mastered the Etch A Sketch but I sure had fun trying! My tricycle was actually dark aqua. I still remember my dad taking it out of the trunk of the car ... and I remember thinking \"Wow\"! It WAS pretty wowsome! 13__Toys_12.13.2019

#Snowflakes Good Morning! I finished this last night. I tried to scan this morning but the little scanner didn\'t pick up the light blue color. It gave me a white background. So.. I took the photo with my cell phone again. I drew today\'s prompt, the #Poinsettia, this morning but won\'t have time to paint until (hopefully) tonight. There\'s a Christmas party after work so I may not have time to paint it until Friday. Take care all! Have an awesome Thursday! PS: I just noticed that the photo I took is tilted a bit. I can live with it, though =)11__Snowflakes_12.11.19

#Candy #10 12.10.2019 I hope everyone had a #sweet day! =) I was short on time and imagination today. Toffee is one of my favorite candies. Red hots are a favorite from my childhood. I haven\'t had them in ages. 10__Candy_12.10.19

#Walrus. 12.09.2019. Christmas walrus? Why not?! Also, I’m keeping the season spirit going with this doodle. I’m too tired to scan and upload images tonight so this one and the previous image are cell phone photos. It’s a shame to be this tired on Monday! 🙄😱😂 BDF713B2-06FA-4806-9531-BD9C61B0CDFA

#Birds. 12.08.2019. Green jay The green jay is a beautiful bird that is native to S. Texas. We see them in our yard all year and are always delighted by their vibrance. In keeping with the spirit of the season, I added a silver and gold ornament. 01D48C7A-283D-430A-98DE-8D32546DDD36

#Pets I drew our iguana and sketched the ink outline yesterday and painted it later today. \"Ghetti\" is our 8+ year old iguana. He\'s a big baby, probably weighing in at around 10 lbs. We adopted him January 2018 when his owner could no longer keep him. His official name is \"Spaghetti\" because one of his favorite foods is spaghetti squash. We shortened it to \"Ghetti\". He enjoys attention so much and leans into your hand when you rub him. #Chocolate Ah! Another topic near and dear to my heart! Chocolate is my one true addiction but I\'ve managed to keep it under control by keeping mostly dark chocolate in the house. It\'s too rich for me so I can only eat a small amount. Heath bars and Snickers....not so much. 6+7_Pet_Chocolate

This is my second attempt for today\'s #Peppermint prompt. I drew then \'inked\' my first drawing early this morning. (I get up around 4:00 a.m. during the week.) Just as I was getting ready to paint it, it occurred to me that I posting a drawing of the Peanuts\' Peppermint Patty and Snoopy plus that awesome Charlie Brown Christmas tree might be a no no ... so here\'s what I got. Those chewy nougat candies with the Christmas tree in the middle are my favorite peppermint. I threw in some peppermint patties even though I don\'t like mint in my chocolate. I\'ve been a Peanuts fan for as long as I can remember so Peppermint Patty was the first thought in my head when I saw today\'s #Peppermint prompt. Oh, well. 5__12.05.19_Peppermint
