Finally got the nerve to call this one done! There are two images associated with my Allen’s Hummingbird. One in direct light and one angled into the light just a bit to show the effects of the Daniel Smith Duo-chrome Saguaro Green. It was the perfect paint to show how these little guys appear in different lighting! 09-DSCN271910-DSCN2722
Thank you, Karen! I wish you could see how this paint changes – it actually goes from a copper color to the very metallic green. I mixed it down a bit to get the darker look. I’m glad I took everyone’s advise and waited a bit before finishing (I still had the urge to keep doing adjustments, but I fought them off!)
Yesterday I caught the train to London and saw some amazing doodles at The National Gallery and Tate Britain. I can’t wait to go back again one day. These are the shoes I wore.
