Invitation for a walk.
Another fence, the other side of the road, the same domain in the east of our country. (look at my previous painting and you can see what I mean) We really did walk here and enjoyed it very much. A place to return to 🙂 View
The reference pic was made almost a month ago, but I cannot paint every minute I am awake (breakfast, lunch, dinner, work and such things interfere) so today I was ready for this one. A ‘Japanese Maple’ with its new leaves showing. For this one I have used watercolour in the background and watercolour pencils for the leaves. I did not want to wait untill I had time to buy a smaller brush 🙂 201905 Japanse esdoorn in de lente – aquarel en potloden
I am using Winsor&Newton Professional. This time I made my greens with Payne’s Gray and New Gamboge. I have started to mix from yellows and blues over a year ago and I am most of the times very happy with the results.
