Portrait # 2: co-worker, Dwa’a. Happier with this than the first portrait attempt of my son. In fact, I think I am becoming addicted, and trying to figure out who my next “victim” will be. 2017-12-12 13.32.07

Thank you! With both my portraits I first did a portrait in pencil. Both times, the watercolor portrait turned out better. I would like to think that the first study allowed me to “see” better and correct mistakes. The “secondary mistakes” have to do with my lack of experience with watercolor…so much to learn!
Thank you Sandra! I was able to “lift off” some of the black off the lower half of the pupils and I think that adds to the overall effect…although I am not so sure you can see it from the photo. The eyes were also part of what I did not get right in the pencil portrait.
