From my watercolours class. I have made this beachscene on Arches paper. The teacher has learned us to mix paint for a natural look. Not perfect , but I have enjoyed it very much. I named it ” a girl at the beach”. Een meisje aan zee.

Obdience class……that is like elementary school for dog. Very good. Oh our furry friend, Cimba outsmarts us now en then but in the end he is the sweetest an most cudly dog on earth. Lots of succes with your Elliott.

I been painting sunflowers for cards to sell in order to raise some money for the refugies from Ukraine. It is a project from our watercolours teacher. I still wonder if anyone is going to give 5 euro for my card.
this is the prototype, done in watercolour markers. the actual cards are painted with watercolours. This was with just the leftover colours on my pallet. the lighter colours could have been a bit more colourful. Now they are rather dull.From my observation it seems the colours become lighter when dry.

Fabulous! Most watercolors do dry lighter. The brand of watercolor and the paper you’re using make a difference. You can sometimes make a difference too, by your paint to water ratio, and making sure that you let your brush soak up lots of color. Negative painting is fun, but harder to do than it looks!

I made these lemons. they should have been in acrylic paint but i gave it a go in watercolours. I tried to get some structure by using waxcrayons under the paint and a bit of dotting with white gelpen. citroenwaterverf
