June Hadaway posted artwork 1 year, 6 months agoWell, I started out using my little Hahnemühle watercolor journal that is my favorite, but I ran out of room, so I moved on to my only little journal left in my stash; a small Field Artist watercolor journal. Halfway through, and it came unglued. This is the second time this has happened, even after replacing one. Has this happened to you? Yes, it has. Write to the company and ask for a replacement! I am using the fallen out pages from mine for World Watercolor Month, then will figure out a way to stitch or bind my 31 paintings!
Thank you for letting me know. This is actually a replacement after I emailed. They said the binding method was changed but said have not had any fall apart before. I will email again.
It’s hard to beat a Hahnemühle watercolor journal!
It really is my favorite. Another one I like is the Pentax landscape. The paper in the Field Artist is very nice but the binding is horrible.
So sad, I hope the company was helpful. I’ve been fortunate not to have that happen, or just lucky so far.
Thanks Karen. I called the company and the lady was very nice. She said they have changed the binding method but I still may have been sent the older one. I still favor Hahnemühle for their quality but do like the smoothness and size of the Field Artist. Future orders go to Hahnemühle. I trust their quality control.
