Hi everyone! I have always been interested in art, specifically watercolor and acrylic paint, as well as ceramics, since high school. This piece is a cartoon eagle (unfinished) I made for my Grandma. I recently stumbled across the Doodlewash website and watercolor Facebook group when trying to find a discourse community for an English Project. I study at the University of Cincinnati, go Bearcats! For a part of my project, I need to conduct a survey, and I figure I would try to do it through this wonderful group. We learn by our mistakes so this was definitely a learning experience. Think I might try this again but with a slightly different approach. Tried to save that sky by rubbing out but the paper really wouldn’t allow for that. And, thinking ahead to where my shadows should go probably would be a good idea! LOL!

I always have problems working from my own photos. I can’t seem to impart the beautiful colors the masters use. I do studies to learn but have difficulty translating those into my own work. IMG_5538(Edited)
