This watercolor and ink painting is done on Masa paper. It involves many steps: wetting and crinkling the paper, layering a glaze on the stretched out damp paper, and letting it dry. Then gluing the masa to a heavier watercolor paper or board then adding subsequent glazes and details. This is the valley and church in Emmittsburg, MD USA where St. Elizabeth Seton started a school.
