“Christmas Star 2020/ Great Conjunction of Saturn and Jupiter” Watercolor. New title: Star of Hope: I was fortunate to observe this astronomical phenomenon on December 21, 2020, the same evening as Winter Solstice. The illumination appeared as one star, and I was able to take several photos for posterity. I painted it quite large, to suggest its significance. Today, on January 6, 2021, I hope that our country, the USA, can resume the democracy on which it was founded, so, I’ve re-titled this painting, “Star of Hope.” Christmas Star 2020

Truly Stunning! I only got to see it a few days later, it was cloudy where I live and it was still amazing but they were a pinky finger apart. And I love your title. 🙂
I live in the Sonoran desert, with mostly clear night skies, so, this was truly a blessing! Don’t have to “wait” another, what, 40 years (?) to see it, again. 😀
