That is one fantastic looking chicken! I’ve wanted to paint a chicken for ages but am a little nervous to try, I usually do fruit and veg, they stand so still! ;o)
Great work, Kaye. Just an idea that crossed my mind, while watching your rooster: make even stronger contrast between the rooster’s white feathers and the background. And make it large! It’s beautiful 🙂

well, in return, I envy your fruits and vegetables. Chickens are fun to paint from a photo where they stand still and keep quiet.

Thanks for your suggestions. It is a large painting and it’ sold and delivered a few years ago, , but I happen to be working on another at this time
