Vidya, I enjoyed reading about your continuing creative journey. You’ve discovered that the learning process is most profound when you learned to teach yourself, through patience, experimentation, discernment, and most of all, practice. Your paintings are beautiful and exprsss the wonderful person that you are. Thank you for sharing and inspiring me!

Charlie, when I saw a Lava lamp at the Hallmark store the other day, I thought of you! 😀 Our family celebrates 12 Days of Christmas. When the children were little, we would all do small good deeds, and on the eve of Jan. 6th (the Twelfth Day), they would leave shoes at the front door to hold gifts from the Three Kings.

You’ll get “hooked” on it, once you sketch and/or paint en plein air. Just keep your supplies to a minimum.

It was so calm. Thanks, Sandra. You’d have enjoyed painting here. There were lots of places in the shade, but I found a nice picnic table for us to paint from, with this nice view.
