My students researched artists, Rene Magritte and Wayne Thiebaud (my first university art professor), to study and apply their concepts of expressing ordinary things in extraordinary, i.e., fun, ways. I painted “Free-Falling” (I loved this game of Jacks, as a child) and “‘Bye-‘Bye, Miss American Pie” (response to current USA events), as well as “Bowl ‘O Cherries” (as in, Life’s Just a…).

I love what you’ve been doing with the poured paint!
Pouring, as in wet-in-wet juicy brushes, misting, and drying. I’m finally getting the “flow” of it. “Bouncing” back from kind of a creative rut. Thank you, Sandra. 😀
