The first, “Near Sunset,” which I painted in 20 minutes, describes the farmlands in SW Washington state that are giving way to housing developments. I’ve always wanted to paint them before they disappear from view. 7.75″ x 10.25″ on Strathmore Aquarius II 80# CP paper. I painted the second, “Road to Abuquiu,” 8″ x 10,” on Bockingford CP 140# paper that Sandra Strait gave me, in 24 minutes. I had to dry it between glazes, after all. 😉 I like both surfaces for fast painting.
