    Thank you Mary! it’s my first post so I hope it’s okay that it isn’t exactly a watercolor painting but I’m trying to get used to water as a tool haha

I found the Daniel Smith introductory watercolor essentials set for a reasonable price on amazon, I think I'll go with that. I'll just have to learn how to mix colors ^_^ I know there are many many tutorials on Youtube but do you have…[Read more]

    • Do some sampling on YouTube and find a few that speak to you. I started with nature journaling. There is so much out there to choose from.

    So I got this ink brush pen from Pentel and it was kinda difficult to create some gradients with my waterpen hahaha I should’ve bought india ink instead?     So I got this ink brush pen from Pentel and it was kinda difficult to create some gradients with my waterpen hahaha I should\'ve bought india ink instead?     • Cute sketch! I use tubes mostly and have filled several palettes. Most of my paints are Daniel Smith but I do use Winsor & Newton, QOR, M. Graham and Sennellier. If you are just beginning get a small basic set of professional grade paints, hopefully on sale. In theory you can mix the colors you will need. Enjoy!
