It’s the time of the year when butterflies are flying around, pollinating flowers and vegetables. For the Monarch butterfly, it loves the milkweed plant to place her eggs on the underside of the leaf. Emerging from that egg and it turns into a larva; it has a huge appetite and eats the milkweed leaf until it gets nice and fat. When it’s reached a point in its life cycle, it leaves the milkweed and locates a place to spin a little silk thread where it turn itself into a pupa. After this it becomes a beautiful adult Monarch and takes flight to Mexico. This whole process takes about four weeks and even less if the weather is warm! July 8 Flying things
