Absolutely spectacular work and a beautiful philosophy.

That’s lovely!!! And I like the “just do” philosophy – laughing about switching from being a sommelier to just having a glass. I’m with you – I’d rather drink it and paint. 🙂 But I feel exactly the opposite about painting and I’d love to see a Charlie tutorial!

Beautiful! And I have never liked big meals after lunch – I love the idea of cereal for dinner. I make a delicious homemade granola which is so perfect in yogurt – and chilly which is important when it’s 106 at 11 AM 🙂 Thanks for all you do!

I love world watercolor month!! But more than that I love this site and the community you’ve created. And I love this sweet snail. Since I live in such a hot place, I’m constantly in a state of high anxiety about how our critters fare when there’s no water. Paradoxically, I also loathe water and rain :). Life is confusing and awesome. Thanks for…[Read more]

OMG you are so right – “they just taste green” hahah! True. They are disgusting. Beautiful doodlewash and sweet memory!

I have to admit, I laughed when your post title came up in email – thought you were painting a girl on the street. 😀
This is beautiful. That sepia ink is wonderful with watercolor. I love a limited palette too. I have seven of them for my DS paints.

Well I always have fun here! I call this combo my holy trinity. LOVE these colors. Re: the mango allergy? Do you have a latex allergy? Mango is cross reactive, as is pineapple and kiwi and a few other things. I feel for you as I have some food allergies that make me sad, like walnuts and some latex derivatives. but at least we can paint them 🙂

This was a hard story for me, even as a child. As you get older, you realize there’s no ugly duckling, because really everyone feels like this, but still. Beautiful painting as usual.

WWM #20 – California Dreaming – this is my favorite ride in the world – the Tower of Terror. Daniel Smith Watercolor, Travelogue sketchbook. I took the reference photo in 2013 on a Stampin’ Up! trip – we had the whole park to ourselves and I probably rode this 15 times 🙂 IMG_7077

The fact that you’ve inspired me to “paint every day” has changed my summer radically. I’ve learned a ton – not least of which is my new favorite phrase “walking into someone’s mouth” HAHAHA! I’ve always looked for a way to describe our blazing hot and humid days here. (which are all of them) so thanks for that!!! 😀

Let’s DO this! Although I’ve already gotten a sample so please go to the next person! 🙂 This is beautiful and I agree about the daily sketching giving you freedom. I came to gardening late, but it gives me so much joy and subject matter (and tomatoes) now, so there’s hope for you! 🙂 I love this little guy.

I’m laughing at your rabbit hole – I cannot tell you how many times a day that happens to me. I too, am holed up like a squirrel eating ice chips until October, but it’s so funny because I got avocado sushi for lunch today from Whole Foods – we have a grocery delivery service here, so I didn’t even have to break a sweat and got some cold,…[Read more]

WWM #18 – Running wild. You know, like grasshoppers. Which are made up of a billion pieces that are difficult to capture, but in the end, he sort of looks like a grasshopper, so I’m happy and I learned some things 🙂 #worldwatercolormonth IMG_7054
