First two pieces are collage and mixed media. The third piece is a collaboration with my two year old granddaughter. She put down puddles of colour and I added marks with inks after it dried. I’m late reading this but when my two year old granddaughter was here over Christmas we spent an afternoon painting with watercolour. She made puddles of colour and after she left I took one of her pieces and I added marks with inks. I’ve signed both our names to the piece. I’ll post it into my gallery here on Doodlewash.

Thank you Zoie. I think you should try this technique. Just randomly throw some watercolour down on your paper. Don’t think about it. When it dries take a black pen and just start outlining shapes that you see. It can be as simple as squares, circles and triangles and go from there. Creativity can be nurtured. I think you have it in spades. Just…[Read more]

Started with splotches of random watercolours and then inked in shapes that I saw in the splotches. 3EF944F9-C2F1-4A27-8ABC-67AE1CA2ACDE_1_201_a

Abstract way to go. Love the way watercolor moves and changes colors. You gave it another dimension. 🙂
