Whenever I use masking tape (or any tape) on removing it, it takes the upper layer of paper with it.
Two papers I am using-
1.Cold pressed 60% cotton paper
2.150 GSM hot press paper(https://www.amazon.in/Scholar-Artist-Pad-Advanced-Cartridge/dp/B086161XDB)-
Kostubh, masking tape can be tricky, and there can be several reasons why you have this problem. I’m suspecting the paper isn’t the best for this and that you aren’t using an artists’ masking tape. There are some things you can do that might help.

Is the problem that when you add a second layer, you lift color instead of adding it, or that once both layers have dried the paint comes off when touched? The first is fairly common – some papers only work well for one layer of paint. The second problem could be either the paper or the paint. Does this happen with all papers when using this…[Read more]
