10/19/19 Rock This prompt reminded me of an afternoon many, many decades ago and a hot summer afternoon project that involved a walk through the creek to scavenge for the perfect rocks to paint. Then a wonderful afternoon spent sitting on the lawn in the shade of an ancient black walnut tree with crayons, rocks and our imaginations. The rocks are long gone and forgotten but the memory of a happy summer afternoon still remains. 10.19.19 Rocks img 054
Such beautiful rocks! A beautiful memory too. Although, it did bring up memories for me of the old black walnut tree that grew in my grandparent’s front yard, and the many, many (many) burrs that had to be pulled out of my feet. You’d think I would have learned not to go barefoot at Grandma and Grandpa’s!
